Installation of EB on a WINDOWS system
The EB CD contains a file EBWIN.EXE
in a subdirectory "win". This is a self-extracting file which contains
EB.EXE and all necessary files. To install EB on your WINDOWS system proceed
as follows:
-
Make sure that your operating system is running
-
Insert the CD
-
Start WINDOWS Filemanager (3.x) or WINDOWS
Explorer (95/98/NT/Me/2000/XP)
-
Locate EBWIN.EXE in the "win" subdirectory
-
Double-click EBWIN.EXE
The self-extracting program displays some
messages. The most important message will be the directory into which EB
will be installed. If possible, you should accept the proposed new directory
"c:\ebv4".
Otherwise overwrite with any other legal
directory name. To avoid confusion with other software, a new directory
rather than an already existing directory should be preferred for installation
of EB..
-
EB will be unpacked to the desired directory
-
A closing message will be displayed on screen.
If EB has been installed into "c:\ebv4" the
installation process is completed.
If EB has been installed in any other directory,
you must edit EB.PIF as discussed below. This procedure however
differs according to your operating system.
